As the Volunteer Director of WIT, Monica brings a wealth of strategic leadership experience cultivated at some of the world’s most innovative technology companies. With a career spanning Google, Apple, and Intel, she specializes in Global Trade Compliance and Operations, where she is known for taking complex challenges and building scalable, "zero-to-one" programs from the ground up. Her professional journey is defined by her ability to manage global teams, navigate international markets, and drive business value through the operationalization of emerging technologies.
A champion for organizational culture and inclusivity, Monica has dedicated much of her career to advancing DEI initiatives. At Google, she served as the Marketing & Comms Lead and Co-Founder for both the Women in Supply Chain & Fulfillment ERG and HOLA@Cloud. Her leadership extends to the non-profit sector as the current President of the Georgetown Alumni Club of Northern California. She excels at stakeholder management and is adept at building strong, cross-functional relationships that bridge the gap between technical execution and community engagement.
Monica holds an M.S. in Foreign Service with a focus on International Commerce and Finance from Georgetown University and a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish from UC Davis. She combines her deep understanding of global commerce with a passion for people management, making her a dedicated advocate for the advancement of women in technology and trade.
