U.S. Anti-Boycott Regulations

What You Need to Know to Implement an Integrated, Risk-Based Approach to International Regulatory Responsibilities.

antiboycottU.S. anti-boycott regulations require that U.S. companies refuse to participate in foreign boycotts that the U.S. does not sanction.  Although the anti-boycott laws apply to all non-U.S.-sanctioned boycotts imposed by foreign countries, the Arab League's boycott of Israel is the principal foreign economic boycott impacting U.S. companies.  Failure to comply with these regulations can result in fines and penalties and the loss of valuable foreign tax credits.  Kevin Cuddy, Senior Manager for International Trade Compliance at General Electric Company will host a 75 minute webinar for WIT-NC on anti-boycott compliance on June 21, 2017 at noon PDT.  During this webinar you will learn:

  • What are the U.S. anti-boycott regulations and how do they apply to my company?
  • What are the differences between the U.S. Commerce Department anti-boycott rules and those administered by the U.S. Treasury Department?
  • What do I need to do to implement an anti-boycott compliance program?
  • How do I spot reportable boycott requests?
  • How do I report boycott requests to the U.S. Commerce Department?
  • The webinar will also provide a demonstration of GE’s Anti-boycott Compliance Reporting Workflow.
