Board of Directors

Chairwoman and OWIT Representative
Vicki Wilkerson
Vicki Wilkerson, Compliance Officer, Fortinet
I have been managing and directing International Trade Compliance programs since 1993. I first began at a small publicly-held company named SynOptics Communications which was later merged with an east coast router technology company named Wellfleet to become Bay Networks. Bay Networks was later acquired by Northern Telecom to become Nortel Networks. Subsequent to Nortel, I managed compliance programs at Hewlett Packard, British Telecom and later SAP AG. I have developed and managed trade programs to address compliance requirements associated with free trade agreements such as NAFTA, USIFTA and BAA. Much of the work I have performed relates to export controls for encryption-related technology. I enjoy the challenge of keeping pace with technological innovations.

Membership Director
Peter Miller
Peter Miller, Menlo Worldwide
Working in global trade for more than 25 years, I started my career as a Customs broker. Moving into the client side, I spent several years in the footwear business with Reebok and Converse before experimenting with my own import company bringing goods in from Eastern Europe. After opening the US division of a Russian beer company, I moved into high tech, working at Applied Biosystems. Through an introduction at my first WIT meeting I went to work for Urusan Consulting, classifying goods for various clients. Bouncing around high tech companies, I ended up at C8 MediSensors, Inc. C8 was a startup company. I built their trade compliance, logistics and European VAT programs from scratch. Now I am at Menlo Worldwide, consulting in trade compliance with their customers.

My educational background started with an AS in hotel & restaurant operations at City College of San Francisco. Having discovered international travel for myself, I changed to international business with a BS from SFSU in 1985. In 1996 I received an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston that included a short residency studying in England and researching companies in the Czech Republic.

I love international travel. Experiencing different cultures is what got me interested in international trade. Work is something I do in between trips. I have 2 sons in college, am an equestrian and a very amateur oil paint artist.
